I love Auntie Katie!

Do you think I look chunky in this picture? Oh well. I'd like to give a special shout out to my auntie Katie! She moved to college a couple of weeks ago and I miss her. I want her to know that I love her and hope she's doing well at college.

As you can see in the picture above, I have a ton of teeth! I even have a lot of molars. Molars are the greatest. They make my eating experience wonderful.

This is a picture of me giving attitude at meal time. I am now pretty good at sign language and can communicate with my parents about my preferences. This makes life a lot better for me. I can sign banana, food, cracker, milk, more, all done, diaper, and water.

One last thing, I love for my mommy and daddy to read to me. I find books and bring them to my parents so they will sit down and read with me. My favorite book right now is "Where is Baby's Belly Button?" I point out the baby's nose, mouth, etc. and then point it out on my own face. ( I still need help finding them on my own though.) The other day my daddy was taking a nap on the couch. My mommy looked over and saw me standing over Daddy holding the book and pointing to the book and then to my face. I was trying to get him to read and play the game with me. I was so happy when he woke up and read to me.

Happy Birthday to me!

My mommy bought me a birthday crown that I wore around all day. People are surprised that I, a child one year of age, keep things on my head. What can I say? I loved the attention! Everyone I saw wished me a happy birthday.

For my party, we went to Chuck E Cheese. I had a lot of fun watching Mr. Chuck E sing and play the piano. I also loved riding the little car and trolley that they had there. Here I am with my cousin, Mazie. She and my auntie Kimmie surprised me by flying all the way to Seattle from Salt Lake for my party! Mommy and I were really shocked when they showed up at our door. It was my favorite present!

Mommy and Daddy got me my very own cake. As you can see by the look on my face, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first, but.....

I figured it out pretty quick...cake is good! I even managed to get some in my mouth.

Preferences

Hey friends! I thought I would just update my blog with a few of my current preferences. My new found love is Andrea Bocelli. Poppi recorded Andrea's "Under the Desert Sky" and gave it to my parents on DVD. The other day my mom was trying to clean and so she put it in. I'm not much of a TV watcher. For one, my mom doesn't really let me. Plus, I don't really like it, not even cartoons or "Blue's Clues" or anything. It just doesn't hold my interest. Anyway, my mommy put on Andrea and I must say that I was riveted. I sat there and watched for over an hour and a half. My mommy justified me watching it by saying it was "educational". My favorite song he sang was "The Prayer" duet. I wouldn't take my eyes off the TV when he sang that.

Also, I'm totally in to the solid food gig now. My favorite food is bread products and tofu with marinara sauce. I also love apple blueberry baby food.

I don't know about other babies, but when I go to bed, I just love to put my blanket over my face. Also, check out my thighs! Strangers love to come up and touch them. That's a little weird, if you ask me. What can I say though? I'm irresistibly cute!

My trip to Florida!

Hi friends! Mom, Dad, Papa, Me-maw, Auntie Katie, and I went on a vacation to Orlando, Florida a couple of weeks ago. Despite how I look in this picture, I had a lot of fun!

One of my favorite things was going to see some of the places where Mommy served on her mission. We went out to Casselberry and went to church there. I got to meet her old branch President. This is a picture of me, Mom, Dad, and Rigo. Rigo was one of her investigators. She was very excited to track him down. We found him working at a Cuban restaurant. In true Latin style, he gave my family a ton of free food. I'm holding a tostone in this picture.

Here we are at "The Seas" in Epcot. I really liked the turtle show where Crush from "Finding Nemo" talked to all the kids. I laughed and got excited through the whole show.

I spent a lot of time hanging out with Papa and Me-maw. They took such good care of me while Mom and Dad went on some big people rides. I had a lot fun being with them. Me-maw even snuck me some ice cream sometimes. In this picture you can see I am holding the Tinker Bell Minnie that they bought for me.

Mommy and I are trying on Minnie ears.

Of course there were times when I got really tired, but I was such a good baby. I was happy almost the entire vacation. I even did well on the plane ride. A lot of strangers complimented my parents on their well behaved baby. I rock!

It was really cold the first two days we got there and I was so excited! I love cold weather. I would smile and get excited whenever a cold breeze would be in my face. In fact, my parents have named me the "Arctic Kitten". My mom can't figure out where I get it from since she hates to be cold. This is a picture of us on our last day. It was 80 degrees outside. Mom was happy, but I was not.

My two favorite rides were the trams from the parking lots to the amusement parks and when Mommy was late somewhere and she ran with me through Disneyworld. My daddy was behind us and I smiled at him the whole way! This is a picture of me on Mission Space at Epcot.

Anyway, I better run. I can't wait for my next trip!

Cousins Unite!

I had such a fun trip to Utah this weekend!! This first picture is of me and my fun cousins, Mazie and Rhys. It was the first time that I had met Mazie. She's so tiny and cute. I, as her wise older cousin, told her that she needs to take some lessons from me and start crying a little more. As you can see from the picture, she took my advice. She didn't stick with it, though. She said she doesn't like to cry because she's trying to be extra good for her mom and dad. So, I thought I'd give that a try. I was really good for my mom all weekend. She was happy.

This is a picture of me looking out the plane window. Here I am contemplating the wonders of solid foods. Mmmmmm....I just tried mango and I love it.

Here's a picture of me and my great grandpa. I was rather intrigued by him. I sat on the floor in front of his chair and smiled at him and played for a long time. I liked him a lot and he seemed to like me a lot. I overheard him tell my mom that I was special, just like her.
We went to church for Mazie's blessing. I was drinking my bottle during one of the hymns when I heard the most angelic sound. I immediately turned my head, with the bottle still in my mouth, to see where the sound was coming from. It was my aunt Leesa! I loved her voice, so I watched her sing the entire rest of the song. I love music.
Well, it was a fun weekend. I'm sure getting excited for this Saturday too! We're going to Florida Yea!

Biscuits n' water

My mom says that she has so many cute pictures of me that I have to put a picture in every post, at least for a while. Here's a pic of me and my cous, Rhyserton. When we go out together, a lot of people think we're twins. Duh, don't they know that I'm a girl and he's a boy? He lives far away and I miss playing with him.

As for the happenings of today, I got in a little bit of trouble. As we babies all know, the things that Mom and Dad use are so much more fun than our toys. Who wants to play with a rattle when there's a perfectly good cell phone sitting on the table? Anyway, there's this water bottle that my parents use when they're exercizing. I've been eyeing it for quite some time. Today my mom finally decided to let me play with it. There was still some water in it, so she put the cap on tight. Let me just say, I love water! I love to drink it from a cup. Anyway, I worked really, really hard and managed to unscrew the top! YES!!! I poured water all over the bed, my toys, and myself! It was so much fun.

Welcome to my blog!

Hello, World! Welcome to my blog. I have a lot of exciting things to share, so I hope you'll visit often. My life is pretty much one big adventure. Today's adventure was, unfortunately, not so fun.

I had to go to the doctors today. That's right, I got two shots. Stupid Polio! Stupid Flu! Mom doesn't want me to know that I am getting another shot in less than a month, but I overheard her. DANG IT!

I missed my Daddy so much today. I hate Mondays! He's gone all day. He leaves before I wake up and he gets back when I'm asleep for the night. Oh, Father, how I miss thee! (Said in a British accent.)
